1.What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences over time — your cart contents, your login state, your language — so you do not have to re-enter them on every page.

This Policy also covers similar technologies such as pixels, web beacons, local storage and SDKs. We refer to all of them as “cookies”.

2.Cookies we use

Strictly necessary — always on

These are required for the Site to function. They cannot be switched off.

Functional — optional

Functional cookies remember preferences that improve your experience — recently viewed products, region and language preference, dismissed notification banners. Typical lifespan up to 12 months. We do not currently set any functional cookies.

Analytics — optional

Analytics cookies help us understand how the Site is used, in aggregate — which pages are visited, how long people stay, where they drop off, whether a page is broken. Such data is pseudonymised and is not used to identify you personally. Typical lifespan up to 26 months. We do not currently run any analytics cookies.

Marketing and advertising

We do not run advertising cookies or advertising pixels. BOOMBABA does not advertise on Meta, Google or any other advertising network, and we do not build advertising profiles or share data with ad networks. This reflects both our own policy and the restrictions applicable to our product category under COTPA, 2003.

3.Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by service providers acting on our behalf — our e-commerce platform, hosting provider and payment gateway (Shiprocket Checkout). We do not control third-party cookies, and their use of any data collected is governed by their own privacy policies.

4.Your choices

On the Site

Because we currently set no optional cookies — no functional, analytics or advertising cookies — there is nothing to consent to, and the Site shows no cookie consent banner. If we introduce any optional cookie in future, we will add a consent banner that lets you accept all, reject all optional cookies, or choose by category, and we will update this Policy before doing so.

In your browser

You can block or delete cookies and stored site data through your browser settings:

  • Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Please note

Blocking strictly necessary cookies and local storage will break the cart and checkout, and you will not be able to complete a purchase. Clearing site data also clears your age-gate confirmation, so you will be asked to confirm your age again.

5.Do Not Track

Browsers vary in how they implement Do Not Track signals and there is no agreed standard. We do not currently respond to DNT signals, but since we run no advertising cookies at all, there is little for such a signal to prevent.
